The monkey is a clever animal. People born in the Year of the Monkey are generally sharp, fun, lively, skilful, flexible and versatile. They are remarkably inventive and original and can solve the most difficult problems with ease. Their natural curiosity leads to the desire to become knowledgeable on a broad range of topics. They also love to show off to their friends with all they know.

Monkeys are intellectual and their memory is phenomenal.  They have total and intense belief in themselves. They do not care what opinions others have of them. They know they are lucky and they also know they have the ability to change things when convenience calls.

Monkeys are hard workers once they have a piece of the action. The bigger the piece, the better they do. However, they tend to be rather accident-prone due to a certain lack of very high morals. Their first interest is pursuing their own pleasure. They might occasionally show a touch of remorse. They will not flat-out admit the error of their ways, but at least they will pull back and try to tone things down for a while.

Monkeys must try to learn to think of others ahead of themselves, at least some of the time. Their world will be more complete once they realise the world doesn't revolve around them.
